The weather was kind to us for this baptism in Redhill at St Joseph's Catholic Church.  The sun shone on what was a beautifully warm winter afternoon.  A perfect day to document and photograph a family celebration.

The baptism was held at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Redhill. I loved the clean modern lines of this church. A serene, peaceful space, that glowed in the winter sunlight; the perfect place to document a family celebration.

I used to be an architect and we would say in our archi jargon that great buildings, just like this church, are rooted with a strong sense of place. Which to be honest is what also drives my photographic work too.  In a world scarred by years of Covid, the cost of living crisis, and now AI looming on creative horizons, I will continue to seek out the light, looking for timeless universal stories, and the things that connect us. As this is what makes us human.
