Not so long ago I was an architect in the city.
These days I am mum to two beautiful children; my most cherished creations.
I live to tell visual stories, and to find small momentary flashes of life, light and delight.
In these images I find meaning and joy. It reminds me of how precious, fleeting, and beautiful life is.
Capturing the sense of awe and wonder found in these moments is what makes me happy.
It is what I strive for everyday.
I am a self taught photographer. My father is a talented amateur wildlife photographer and photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.
I love the weight of a camera in my hands, and the instant magic that you can weave with each click.
My qualifications centre around my longstanding love of the arts, design and architecture:
2003: Bachelor of Architecture, University of Cape Town
2000: Bachelor of Architectural Studies, University of Cape Town
1997: Diploma in Interior Design: Whitehouse School of Interior Design
1995: Bachelor of Arts, (Psychology and History) UKZN, PMB
Whatever the discipline, I live to capture light, understand people, and to tell visual stories.
I bring a trained eye with 20 years of experience in the visual arts to each and every photograph.
I'm delighted to work with Spectrum Inspired. The goal of this extraordinary group of photographers is to raise awareness for Autism through documentary photography. Spectrum Inspired offers free shoots to families with children on the spectrum.
